The Secret Is Out...

For a few weeks now I have been working on two very special and secret portraits which I can now freely share with everyone. These two works are in the usual pastel medium and are to celebrate the Silver wedding anniversary of my parents this summer, as my mum is an avid Facebook user I thought best not to post anything about them until they has seen them in person.

The portraits were created from their wedding photographs 25 years ago and the only difference between the photos and them 25 years later in person is the loss of my dads hair! It was such a pleasure working on these pieces as they are something they will have to remember me by and their marriage for ever on their walls.

I initially framed them together for sentimental value but after some deliberation we have decided to do them separately due to the severe lack of wall space in our home after receiving back all my artwork from my school days!

Now the university year has come to a close I hope to have more time to work on my drawing and maybe even dabble in some painting for a very exciting upcoming project.

Happy anniversary to my fabulous parents, you are the most disgustingly in love couple I know and long may it last!
